Top Chef and Project Runway

In both Top Chef and Project Runway the contestants have to complete challenges to become the next top chef/next top fashion designer. In Top Chef, the contestants have challenges such as making a dessert that will impress the judges and a top pastry chef. Some of the contestants did very well and did what the judges were asking, while others just played it safe. The winner of the challenge would get their recipe in the Top Chef Cookbook. I think that the judges of Top Chef look for someone who works diligently and in a timely fashion, who can make creative and delicious food, and can also work well with others. For Project Runway, the contestants had a challenge to make a red-carpet look. Some of the designers made gorgeous dresses, while others made dresses that didn't look anything like a red-carpet look. The winner of the red-carpet challenge would be immune for the next challenge. The judges of Project Runway look for creativity, something new and up coming, and that it's made well and executed well. They also want someone who can produce the garment in the 24 hours that they are given.
