judging portfolio
Everyone looks at things differently, which is why everyone judges things differently. If I were to judge the portfolios I would look for multiple things. The first among them being grammar. If a person has poor grammar it makes the piece extremely frustrating to read. Next I’d look for spelling. Spelling isn’t that high on my checklist, thought, it is annoying when words are misspelled. The reason for that being is I know personally how hard spelling is so I understand that people make mistakes. The most important thing I look for is personality. If the person is just citing facts it makes the paper extremely boring to read. I want the writer to show me who they are and tell me everything from their perspective. Otherwise, as a judge I would basically be reading the same paper over and over again. Lastly, the paper needs to flow. If it’s too choppy it is way to easy to get confused. These are the main things that I would look for in a paper. Some things that might help a paper that I wouldn’t be looking for specifically would be things like quotes or examples. These are a good way to show whomever the reader is that you know what your talking about and it’s also another way to make it your own. These are also important to help the reader to understand. If a writer follows these guidelines and tips they should have no problem what so ever writing a descent paper.
