Reality TV

Reality TV shows and the struggles in these shows can be directly related to any student. For example, let the designers represent the students and the judges represent the teacher or professor. The judges set the challenges and the certain requirements that each designer’s expected to achieve. In the same sense, when an English teacher assigns a paper for a student to write, they give a basic outline of what is to be accomplished in the paper. Just like the judges do, they look for the most creative and unique piece of work that also accomplishes each standard set in the challenge, paper, or any kind of homework. The time limits and money restrictions in project runway can also be related to the amount of time given to complete assignments. We can also learn lessons from reality TV. When the challenge to make a surfer look was assigned, each designer had to work with a partner and share ideas as well as contribute equally to the designs. One member was eliminated from project runway when the judges found out that he did not put forth as much effort or work as hard as his partner. This can be related to group assignments in class, the workforce, or even the world as a whole because working together is extremely important and necessary. All together, reality TV shows, in a sense, can be educational and help to portray a real life situation you might have to deal with and can help prepare you to make good decisions and accomplish challenges.
