Technology Vs. Writing

Technology and Writing to me go hand in hand. Technology has involved writing in so many ways throughout the years it has been ridiculous. For example, going from having to type on things such as type writers and actually being able to write on lets say laptops and being able to post on blogs. Technology has also made writing easier throughout the years; back in the day if you were to mess up on a type writer you were either going to have to use white out and white it out or just start completely over no matter how far along you were on it. Where as now a days if you mess up on a computer you can just back space or go throughout your paper and change things as you please. Another way technology has made writing easier is by creating a great little tool called spell check where you just have to come close to spelling a word and normally the computer will be able to guess what word you were trying to spell where as writing on something like the type writer you would have to be sure with all of your spelling and if you did not know how to spell it you better had hoped either your parents knew how to spell it or that you had a dictionary around you otherwise you were more than likely out of luck.
After reading this prompt I realized how much technology and writing does go hand in hand but also how it has made it so much easier for people living today. More examples of this is the fact throughout your paper now with the technology we have you are able to cut and paste anything you want throughout your paper and put it anywhere else in your paper. Also with the technology we have you can save your work in easy to access formats, and save things such as pictures that you may need to incorporate in your paper. The one downfall of our technology today that goes with writing is when you do not save your work and you may have like a computer crash or your power may go out which in that case if you did not save your work you will end up losing all of your work.
Some people have chose not to evolve with their writing for example some people still choose to write their essays on paper or write just about anything on paper. Some people still think it's better to write out everything on paper and there is nothing wrong with this because with this way you still have the option of going back and erasing things but you do not have the option of copying and pasting things from way back when in your essay but you also do not have the risk of losing your work due to your computer messing up.
In the end I am glad with the way technology has affected writing and how it has made writing so much easier and so much more efficient to write. I think that writing is going to keep evolving and keep getting more efficient as the years go on and I am almost positive that they will make it easier to write essays.
