Distinctions
In class we were assigned to read two articles. The first article was "Is Google Making Us Stupid?" The second article was "Letterpress Language:..." Both of these articles were about how technology changes writing. However their styles were kind of different. "Is Google Making Us Stupid?" was about how everyone is getting so used to having everything instantaneous, so much so that it's even getting difficult to sit down and read a book because the reader has trouble paying attention. However, "Letterpress Language:...." was about how technology effects the way our writing appears. For example, it mentions all the different fonts, colors, and placements. Both essays basically have the same point, which is: technology has made the writing of today much more advanced.
