writing and technology

There is no doubt that writing has shaped the world and made it what it is today. It has helped the way people view things, as well as the way information gets out. Writing has been there to make people's lives less boring with a plethora of novels that are out for the public's enjoyment. The non-fiction books have helped with research for classes and many other things. But technology has also ha a large impact on writing.

Technology such as the Internet has had a large impact on writing, both good and bad. One good impact would be that the research necessary for someone to write would be much easier to access. Whether it is facts for non-fiction literature, or simply inspiration for a unique fiction novel.

Then there's the technology that the writers actually use to write with. Thsi includes Microsoft Word and Publisher. As technology advances so do these. This is an example of how technology helps writing. As these technologies advance it becomes easier for the writer to actually write. For instance, Microsoft Word has spell check, which coincidentally not only helps with spelling but also grammar as well. It also allows us to change font and style (design) of the paper, as well as add pictures from clip art or the Internet.

Technology has overall helped writing in a large way. It has made it easier to write a paper as well as edit one. As long as technology keeps advancing, so will writing.
