First Sentences

After reading all the first sentences of the essays, I concluded a majority of them were structured fairly similiar. Although most of the first sentences introduced the topic, they were vague and for the most part boring. I also noticed the word choice of the essays were vague, making the sentences generic and repetitive. Some strategies to enhancing the first sentences and even the introduction as a whole would be to incorporate quotes and ask specific questions to give the readers something to think about and develop an analytical standpoint.
