First Sentences of my Essay-

You look at your paper very differently when you are reading all of the first sentences of each paragraph together. It gives you a completely different outlook on your paper and topic. When I looked at all of the first sentences in my paragraphs, I realized that some were too short. In all my sentences however, you could tell what the paragraph to follow was going to be about, but in some I needed more detail and more of a solid idea about what was going to be in the body of the paragraph. You never want the first sentence to be too wordy, or too short, and it's sometimes difficult to find exactly what to say without doing that. I realized that some of mine were in fact, too short or too long, but otherwise I think they were pretty solid sentences. When you separate all of the sentences from each paragraph and put them all together, it's easy to see when the entire paper is going to be about, because you get a little preview about each paragraph that is in the paper. It's important to make sure that all of the first sentences make sense, and in some way relate to one another. These should be some of the strongest sentences in the paper, so I realized that I need to go back and do a little revising in my paper and the first sentences.
